品古器读春秋看盛世收藏，炼金钢铸利刃憶金戈铁马

    平遥县文涛坊古兵器博物馆位于平遥古城内，北邻古城西大街，南傍古城十二景之一的凤凰台，占地面积2000余平方米，内设七个展厅和五个作坊。该馆集兵器展览、文化研究于一体，动静结合、视听互补，传递着中华文明绵延不断的强劲讯息。
    七个展厅以实物、投影、图片、浮雕、陶瓷、油画等形式，系统展示了原始社会、青铜时代、宋元明清乃至抗战时期的兵器文化，同时生动地反映了尹吉甫驻兵初筑城墙、抵抗金将粘罕进攻、凭借瓮城挫败北番兵劫等历史战争事件。
    五个作坊通过匠师演示操作，全方位再现了古兵器制作的冶炼、锻造、研磨、雕刻等流程，体现了文涛坊人钟情古兵历史、追忆民族文化的不懈追求。
    2016年1月被中工美命名为“中国古兵器艺术博物馆”。
    2021年1月被共青团平遥县委、平遥县青少年党群服务中心授予“青少年之家”称号。
    2022年9月被平遥县青年联合会授予“平遥县青联委员之家”称号。
   2024年8月，被国家文物局评定为全国第五批国家二级馆。

   Pingyao County Wentaofang Ancient Weapons Museum
   Located within Pingyao Ancient City, Wentaofang Ancient Weapons Museum is adjacent to West Street of the ancient city to the north and borders Fenghuangtai — one of the Twelve Scenes of Pingyao Ancient City — to the south. Covering an area of more than 2,000 square meters, the museum houses seven exhibition halls and five workshops.
Integrating weapons exhibitions and cultural research, the museum combines static displays with dynamic experiences and complements visual with audio presentations, conveying the enduring vitality of Chinese civilization.
   The seven exhibition halls systematically showcase the weapons culture from primitive societies, the Bronze Age, the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties to the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression through physical exhibits, projections, pictures, reliefs, ceramics, oil paintings and other forms. They also vividly depict historical warfare events such as Yin Jifu stationing troops to build the city wall for the first time, resisting the attack of Jin general Nianhan, and foiling the looting of northern barbarian troops by virtue of the barbican.
   Through live demonstrations by master craftsmen, the five workshops comprehensively reproduce the entire process of making ancient weapons, including smelting, forging, grinding and carving,

reflecting the unremitting pursuit of Wentaofang people in cherishing the history of ancient weapons and inheriting national culture.
In January 2016, it was named the China Ancient Weapons Art Museum by the China National Arts and Crafts Society.

   In January 2021, it was awarded the title of Home for Teenagers by the Communist Youth League Committee of Pingyao County and Pingyao County Teenagers’ Party-Mass Service Center.
   In September 2022, it was conferred the title of Home for Members of Pingyao County Youth Federation by the Pingyao County Youth Federation.
   In August 2024, it was rated as a National Second-Class Museum in the fifth batch by the National Cultural Heritage Administration.

   石破天惊兵器始祖（石器时期）
   远古洪荒，以石为刃，削木为兵。人类于蒙昧中淬炼锋芒，兵器雏形初现，劈开蛮荒岁月，开启华夏文明的恢弘序章。
Stone Age: Shocking the World, Ancestor of Weapons
In the primeval chaos, stones were shaped into blades and wood carved into weapons. Humans forged sharpness out of ignorance, giving birth to the earliest forms of weapons. They cut through the wild ages and opened the grand prelude to Chinese civilization.

   青铜闪耀吉金华章（夏商西周春秋战国）
   青铜冶铸，光耀千年。礼器镇国，兵器安邦，刀戈剑戟承载礼乐征伐，铸就吉金文明，尽显上古华夏的雄浑气魄。
   Bronze Age: Glittering Bronze, Splendid Chapter
(Xia, Shang, Western Zhou, Spring and Autumn & Warring States Periods)Bronze casting and smelting shone for thousands of years. Ritual vessels secured the state, and weapons safeguarded the realm. Swords, daggers, halberds and spears embodied rites, music and warfare, forging a splendid bronze civilization and showcasing the majestic momentum of ancient China.

   苍劲秦汉一统山河（秦汉时期）
   铁兵问世，锐不可当；弩机连发，威震四方。金戈铁马横扫六合，定鼎中原一统山河，铸就强汉雄风，四夷宾服。
    Qin & Han Dynasties: Powerful and Unifying the Land
    Iron weapons emerged with unmatched sharpness; repeating crossbows struck fear into all sides. Armored warriors and galloping horses swept across the land, unifying the Central Plains, forging the mighty glory of the Han Dynasty and bringing all foreign tribes into submission.

    挥槊当关大漠苍穹（宋辽夏金元）
    游牧铁骑，驰骋苍穹；长槊弯刀，争锋沙场。农耕与游牧文明碰撞交融，谱写一曲大漠射雕、气吞万里的铁血传奇。
     Song, Liao, Xia, Jin & Yuan Dynasties: Holding Spears at the Pass, Vast Desert and Sky
     Nomadic cavalry galloped across the horizon; long spears and curved blades clashed on the battlefield. Agricultural and nomadic civilizations collided and merged, composing a legendary tale of bravery across the vast desert.

    冷兵之巅技艺巅峰（明清）
    百炼锻打，炉火纯青；刀剑形制，臻于化境。匠心传承，技艺登峰，冷兵器时代于历史长河中绽放最后的璀璨巅峰。
    Ming & Qing Dynasties: Pinnacle of Cold Weapons, Supreme Craftsmanship
    Hundred-reforging and forging reached perfection; sword designs achieved ultimate mastery. With inherited ingenuity and unparalleled skills, the era of cold weapons ushered in its final brilliant peak in history.

抗战烽火警钟长鸣（抗战时期）

山河破碎，烽火连天；全民皆兵，共赴国难。以血肉之躯筑起长城，凭赤胆忠心捍卫家国，铭记历史，警钟长鸣，吾辈自强。
War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression: Flames of War, Alarm Forever Ringing
The motherland lay in ruins amid raging wars; the whole nation rose as one to face national crisis. Great Wall was built with flesh and blood, homeland defended with loyalty and courage. We remember history, keep the alarm ringing, and strive to make China strong.
